Privacy Policy

Effective August 27, 2026

Raidio is a local-network generative-radio app. It connects an iPhone to a Raidio service operated by the user on an Apple Silicon Mac on the same local network.

Data collection

Raidio does not create user accounts. The developer does not collect personal data, analytics, advertising identifiers, usage telemetry, or audio recordings from the app. Raidio does not track users across apps or websites.

Data stored on the iPhone

Raidio stores the selected visual theme, station-control preferences, and an optional manually entered Mac address or hostname on the iPhone. This information is used only to preserve app preferences and reconnect to the user's Mac.

Local-network communication

Raidio uses Apple's Local Network permission and Bonjour discovery to find and connect to a user-operated Raidio service. Station settings and ephemeral session credentials pass between the iPhone and that Mac. Session credentials remain in memory and are not stored by the app.

The current MVP uses HTTP and WebSocket traffic on a trusted local network. It is not intended for hostile or untrusted Wi-Fi networks.

Device permissions

Raidio uses Local Network access for discovery and audio streaming. It does not access the microphone, camera, photos, contacts, precise location, or health data, and it does not record audio.
